I'm Soumyajit Chakraborty

I am an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) of Economics at the Department of Economics & International Business, School of Business of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, India.

I am an applied microeconomist, specializing in development and public economics. My research focuses on human capital and women's economic rights. I received my Ph.D. (2021) in Economics from the University of New Mexico, USA; M.Phil. (2014) in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies Kolkata (IDSK), University of Calcutta, India; M.A. (2012) and B.A. Honors (2010) in Economics from Visva-Bharati University, India.
